This advanced studio program invites young artists to expand their skills beyond the traditional classroom, to engage in an art curriculum that aligns with New York State learning standards. Through hands-on projects, students explore sophisticated techniques while cultivating imagination, critical thinking, and self-expression.
Drawing inspiration from both historical and contemporary artists, participants investigate advanced concepts in composition, form, and visual storytelling. They also engage deeply with the natural world and the human form, refining observational skills and translating their insights into thoughtful, expressive works of art.
With exclusive access to the Museum’s galleries, students study masterworks up close, connecting their own practice to examples of artistic excellence. Each session concludes with a celebratory exhibition, showcasing the creativity, technical growth, and artistic maturity achieved by our young artists.
